March 25, 2025 – The Division of Sustainable Enterprise and Society, Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thidarat Boonmas, Vice President for Sustainable Enterprise and Society, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Siraprapa Bamrungkit, Faculty of Economics and the Institute for Strategic Research and Cooperation for Northeast Development, Khon Kaen University, led by Dr. Anuwat Srisawat, Deputy Director of Development Strategy, along with personnel from the Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Society Promotion, together with the Khon Kaen Provincial Agricultural Office, led by Lt. Yuparat Phanomprom, Agricultural Extension Specialist, visited the area to follow up and discuss guidelines for the development of the sustainable farmer promotion project in Nam Phong and Kranuan Districts, Khon Kaen Province, consisting of:
- Ban Kut Nam Sai Food Processing Enterprise and Ban Non Kham Pae Integrated Farming Group
At Kut Nam Sai Subdistrict Municipality, Nam Phong District - Nong Ao Vegetable Farming Group
At Nong Ao Community Hall, Sa-at Subdistrict, Nam Phong District
This operation drives the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the areas of poverty eradication (SDG 1), sustainable economic development (SDG 8), and the promotion of sustainable production and consumption patterns (SDG 12) by providing knowledge, technology, and supporting marketing channels for community enterprises to create a stable and sustainable grassroots economy, as well as promoting local and national cooperation (SDG 17) to create a continuous development network.
Khon Kaen University (KKU) remains committed to being a knowledge center for the development of society and the economy of the community, as well as strengthening farmers and community enterprises, with the hope of creating a circular economy, reducing environmental impacts, and improving the quality of life of local people, in order to move towards a sustainable society in the future.
